Care for Every Stage of Early Childhood

From first steps to first friendships, our classes are built to meet your child right where they are. With caring teachers and engaging activities, each program helps build confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

Infants

Our infant rooms are safe spaces away from older children where our infants can explore, play, refine their fine and gross motor skills, and nap peacefully.

Our toddler room is for children who have celebrated their first birthday. In this room, they will begin to explore more of the world around them, create art projects, sing songs, read books, and have outdoor time.

Early Preschool

These rooms are for our 2 and 3 year old children. They get to start developing early literacy skills, discover more arts and crafts, and begin to refine their social skills.

We partner with the Davenport Community School District to offer free preschool to qualifying 4-year-olds. Our preschool classes are taught by licensed and certified preschool teachers.

There's not another place I could ever imagine sending my kids! I have two kiddos that attend, a 2 year old and school ager. We have been there for almost 6 years now and many more to come! Their staff is the best around and my girls love them all so much. All of the staff is quick to answer any questions, keep us updated throughout the day, and accommodate any allergies or health concerns. They always have fun activities planned and things coming to the daycare for the kiddos to do. Holidays are always so much fun with class parties, Easter egg hunt, and Trunk or treat every year. Summer is nonstop fun with splash days, bounce house days, field trips for the older kiddos, and some sweet treats. We love this daycare so much 🫶

Birdies Nest is the Best! They have such highly trained and certified staff. Everyone there is so friendly and you can tell they truly have a passion for working with young kids. They also have lots of developmentally appropriate activities for all ages. My son runs out the door every morning so excited to get to Birdies. Frequently Asked Questions

We provide each child (over 1-year-old) with breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack and it is no additional fee. Babies under 1-year-old are provided with baby food. We make all of our food in house in our large kitchen.

We accept child care assistance from the state of Iowa as well as Scott County Kids Scholarships.

We open at 6:30am and we close at 5:30pm. We ask that all children are picked up and out of the building no later than 5:30pm so we can begin our closing routines.

We care for children starting at six weeks old and currently go through age 10. 

Yes. We are closed for all federal holidays and a few staff training days each year. Click here to see the full list of closures.

We currently have 10 classrooms, plus a large indoor gym.

No. Sick children must be carefully supervised at home and can return to care when they have been fever and symptom-free for 24-48 hours, depending on the illness.
